3500 and Counting
July 30th, 2012 | Diana Pereira
Most bloggers celebrate their great achievement of 100K, or 200K followers. Well, I am not most bloggers! I like to celebrate the little achievements, 3500 followers. So I have been saving this speech since I was 8. You know, for my first Oscar that is! _But, I couldn’t find a more appropriate time for my special speech than now. All the alcohol have erased my memory over the years, but it goes something like this:
OMG thank you, thank you! I would like to thank my fans followers. I totally promised myself I wouldn’t cry, so I won’t! Without you and a lot of hard work, my hard work, either way I would still be here. Nothing’s gonna stop me from my dream, 10k followers #psh. I would like to thank my mom and my best friend for always liking and sharing my posts. Oh, my husband, and my honeys. You are everything to me. Okay, that sad #Oscar music is cutting me off, gotta go. And remember, I thank you and you should #followme @thefashionadroit on instagram!

Dog Days

I have been trying to put all my obsessions in one outfit without looking ridiculous. I think I succeeded this time! Of course mentally, sometimes a lot is not good enough. So, here in detail is what you see on the photo above. The t-shirt that I have been wearing a least once a week is Givenchy. The leather pants, my second skin, are Balenciaga. The bag, you know, Céline Box. The lace up boots, Manolo Blahnik. And now to the two new pieces I wear every time I get a chance. Erickson Beamon necklace and Fleet Ilya harness, something’s gotta keep me restrained.
By the way, in case you guys didn’t know, if you wanna snag my look I posted links on all the name brands so you can buy the pieces!
Just in.

While I’m waiting for the real deal, I guess this will have to satisfy my craving with this men’s sweater by Balenciaga.

Cooling Off
July 19th, 2012 | Diana

Living in LA can definitely get really hot during the summer, and sometimes wearing all white doesn’t cut it when it comes to cooling off. I don’t think it helps that my pool is heated like a jacuzzi, but hey, jumping in is worth a shot in this 100 degree weather. I’m just glad that my Erickson Beamon necklace didn’t take me to the bottom of the pool, that’s too Titanic for my taste.

White and Wild
July 18th, 2012 | Diana
It wouldn’t be summer without at least one “white party” to attend. This year, instead of Ibiza, or an exotic European happening island _ Beverly Hills was the destination. The event? A 40 years old birthday bash to get P Diddy, Sean Combs (or whatever his name might be these days, serious commitment issues dude!) anyway, soooo jealous. There was something about an absolutely gorgeous, well decorated house; combined the most good looking people wearing all white (lots of diamonds too!) and drunk out of their minds that would have made any party expert to be delighted by the way the night unveiled. Knowing what kind of clan I was about to mix myself in, I made sure to chose the appropriate white party dress. Sexy for my husbands eyes and still very up my league. Mixing the Givenchy dress with the harness came out to a huge success, (I know Christian Grey would’ve like it,) and kept my style identity in check. As I needed no more, the thin black strap Alexander Wang sandals, and a simple, black as well, Givenchy clutch was enough. Next time, without shame, I will definitely add spanx to my ensemble. Only if you had seen how big my stomach was after all the champagne and tequila I had that night!

I’m Cute, White?

Like, is there anything better than white clothes during “summer” time?! Ummm, no! On another note, I was talking to a friend, who for the first time ever walked into my closet, and she was like, “what?, what? what? , I thought I was going to walk into a 18 rooms long closet by the way I see you dress.” Honestly, I was really glad, but then sad. Sad to have disappointed her but really glad she finally got to know what clothes means to me. I have never invested in a single item I didn’t think was going to last more than two seasons. I want good quality clothes that will last me a long time. I just wore my summer 1999 Tom Ford for Gucci feather jeans the other day and the reaction of peeps was like “what???” I do know why; my point _ I only buy pieces that will last me forever, it’s an investment. Don’t get me wrong, trends are amazing! But you need to know what trends are forever. Thank you Tom Ford, Galliano and Marc Jacobs for giving me those trends. uhhh uhh trends that will last forever, invest in those. And just like my Celine shoes _Which we all know Celine is a really trendy brand now. Thank you Pheobe Philo for that! She is amazing, she knows how to make amazing pieces that are trendy, classic and will last forever. I’ve loved her ever since Stella McCartney! Remember the horse head jeans?! I will be able to hold on to and wear my clothes forever and ever again. And to my bitch friend, listen, real estate square footage in West LA ain’t cheap, hon. What do you mean 18 rooms? Since when am I Petra Eccostone?!

As we get closer to Fall and the shoes sessions get those awful looking sale racks out of our site, a desperate desire for new shoes overrides. So before I find myself seating on top of shoes I would not necessarily die for it, I get a little 10 best shoes of the season list together. I must start off with my ultimate love, the Givenchy Pre-Fall 2012 boots below. Aren’t they just perfect???
