simple days…

August 28th, 2012 | Diana

It’s so convenient to wake up in the morning, brush my teeth and throw a dress on. The hat and the sunnies are for sure an extra, no reason for make up or hair!!! Ready??? I am starting to get really sad summer is coming to an end, but it’s ok?! There are great  fall clothes waiting to comfort me. After a few seasons of bold, and prints, and colors, and patterns, and happiness; _ fashion is finally back on my side, the dark side. I got this dress, what I like to call transitional piece,  to wear now towards the end of summer, but with fall already in my mind and heart. Oh I am going to wear this dress so much, until the end of it. It will be one of those pieces my husband will throw away behind back because he can’t stand looking at it anymore! So I will be getting one in black too!

T by Alexander Wang dress (in black here and the skirt is awesome too)
Valentino loafers (fall version is super cute, here)
Givenchy duffel bag
Hat, a gift from my hubby, probably from the airport (here)

Van Halen

August 27th, 2012 | Diana

There are days that doesn’t matter what I do, I just don’t!!! Huge lack of inspiration today. I thought if I looked like my closet threw up on me, I would get back on track! Didn’t happen!!! So I went looking for the most simple things in life, like this van. Who was I kidding??? OH BABY?! That is horrid!!!_ Besides the name Van Halen. _ Things don’t need to make sense when you don’t make sense at all!
So I went to look for my happy place. Well, my second happiest place; it was way too early on a Monday to start drinking; _ The internet. And guess what? I found what I was looking for, myself!!! Check THIS out!
And here is the throw up look in the pics in details;
Chaser tee, ICB skirt, Citizen Of Humanity vest (seen here and here), Giuseppe Zanotti lace up heels(seen here), Givenchy bag (here and here), Shylee Rose dagger necklace (previously here), Daslu cross necklace

Finders Keepers

August 25th, 2012 | Diana

Once upon a time, there was a girl in search of the perfect jewelry. Jewelry that would go with her gym gear (even though she has never been to the gym). That would pair perfectly to her venti Starbucks latte, but as well with her shots of tequilla. Jewelry that would complement her LBD and her ADD.  Something that screamed “bad ass,” and the mother in law still would approve. In search for something so extraordinary she finally found what she was looking for. Not only one, but three incredible pieces that can go around the clock. The Gold and Diamond Gods where on her side. Once found, she made sure that from that day on, they would never leave her side, _ or should I say neck??? _ ever again.

Ok no joke! #OBSESSED I am not very big on jewelry, but I do like having it on, and once I get it on, it will stay on with me for a least 3 years without me taking it off. I just recently retired my necklace of 3 years and when this showed up in front my eyes I knew it screamed replacement. These necklaces are so versatile!  I am in love with the way they layer so perfectly together or apart!

“It must be the season of the sneakers”

August 23rd, 2012 | Diana

First came Tommy Tom, with his state of art streetstyle pictures, snapping some colorful, some customized Nike sneakers; during numerous Fashion Weeks  and 2011 along this statement _ “After years of towering around in sky-high heels, it was only a matter of time before fashion insiders came back down to earth and slipped into something more comfortable. Embraced by tastemaker Phoebe Philo as she makes her Celine bows and also seen in countless editorials, the sneaker has become the shoe of choice.”

Meanwhile, the very famous hidden heels Bekket Sneakers by Isabel Marant, which was introduced back early 2010 [HOLY COW! A two years trend?!_ (thanks to Anastasia I am changing my OMFG to holy cow!!!)], and still “impossible” to get it, the Bekket sneakers is on everyone’s feet. No joke!!!

But it wasn’t until last Haute Couture week, when Vika Gazinskaya’s Nike and dirndl skirt took over and named the begging of a new trend era. Soon came all the Model off duty looks from Stockholm Streetstyle during Paris Haute Couture and Copenhagen Fashion Weeks. Followed by outfit posts from bloggers and trend followers. I, like most of people mentioned, have got my tired and overworked feet into this trend. Casual hangover Fridays, became a Monday through Sunday thing for a flat addict like myself. Rest my lovely beat up Lanvins, take a break slippers, it’s sneakers time.

When Night Rises.

August 21st, 2012 | Diana Pereira

It’s been really hot in LA, but the nights have been amazing. Don’t mind the fact that I’m swollen and fat, I can thank all the Rose wine for that. This is giving me a Kim Kardashian kind of butt. But, on a lighter note, how sick is this Anja Schwerbrock jumper?!

Casual Affairs

August 20th, 2012 | Diana

Excuse my absence for the past 7 days. Well, first, I got lost in Vegas for 3 days for the best all girls trip I ever had in my life. I guess you can say I pulled a Hangover, sans Bradley Cooper, unfortunately. After missing several flights, some on purpose and some not. I made it back to quickly plan my daughter’s 2nd birthday party which consumed me for another 3 days. Between the wild Vegas nights and days, (actually days were even more wild), 144 hours of none stop drinking, lots of balloons and screaming toddlers. I got to squeeze in a regular 3 hours of normal affairs and a few pics to post here. Two very talented French boys joined forces to launch a denim line called Beyond A Dream, and I gladly accepted to join their intimate presentation. Really good stuff, styles I’d never seen before. I can literally say that some of the styles were smokin’. And you know I really like that!!! Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to leave there with a sample to show you, but soon, very soon I will put my legs and my butt in a pair. Meanwhile, I stick to what have.

Viktor & Rolf shirt (similar but not as great here. Just being honest!),  Rag & Bone/JEAN jeans, Givenchy handbag, Giuseppe Zanotti lace up heels, Oliver Goldsmith sunnies, Giles and Brother bracelet, Pamela Love spike ring (similar here.)

Blogger Faux Pas

August 12th, 2012 | Diana

Ok, major mistake of my part. I left one of the best new jeans out of my “Let’s talk Denim” post. I wasn’t aware of the existence of the amazing J Brand 801 Scuba Jeans. Oooopssies!!!  I am so upset and disappointed at myself. I always know everything about clothes, what happened??? Barneys have sold out of all but restocking soon. No need to try it on girls, they are beyond comfortable. You can get the only style still available on jbrandjeans.com. Below a photo of what still to come _ yes, more styles soon please! Huge thanks to Style.com for always providing me with the best info.

Let’s talk denim!

August 10th, 2012 | Diana

I love how every season jeans find themselves following the runway trends. And Holy shit this season more than ever. Below, I present to you all the best of our daily companions. I made sure to not only get great looking jeans, but the ones that won’t show your underwear when you sit down, as well. Of course I had to include as many Rag&Bone Jean as I possibly could. I love how they feel, how they fit, especially how they look. I spend days, weekends, holidays, and flights in them. On a serious note, I am obsessing over those Proenza Schouler’s (looks like Prada). The waxed red denim on me (the fat girl on the left) are Citizen of Humanity, another great brand, they feel amazing and they are super. The 87 lb, worst assistant in the world, is wearing a pair of vintage jeans she got in Paris, probably in a children store. I just know we all buy at least one great pair of cool jeans a season, and these are for sure the crème de la crème out there now. Ok, now that I am done with the denim talk, can somebody please talk about dieting and get my skinny bitch a burger!

Shoes.tv Closet Confessional

August 8th, 2012 | Diana

I love having people over at my house, especially people who respect my closet! It was so fun to have Shoes.tv over to talk about my shoe collection. If I hadn’t been such a foreign drunk, I probably wouldn’t have made all the verbal mistakes I did. Never thought I had such a thick accent! I hope you enjoy my video as much as I do!
