Graphic Detail +++
September 29th, 2012 | Diana
As Fashion Week season still upon us and half way into Paris (the one that matters the most, I am just saying!). I find myself rather interested in the trends on the runway, but the ones on the street as well. Let me be clear; on the street style starlets, and from Tommy Tom’s likeness.
While repelling for a great cause, Leandra from The Man Repeller, believes graphic t-shirts are the hot commodity. I agree plus add a bit more drama. The graphic t-shirt comes with a mate from my point of view. A statement necklace! Remember this. Yes, this burger comes with a side of information. So follow me, I won’t disappoint.

The green chocker in the first photo, OMG! Above a picture of my instafriend/now friend Nasiba. Do I need to mention the Balenciaga egyptofunk collection is trending and seems like everyone has one? I do? Ok, so look here, here, here, here, here, and me too. How did I know that?

Another russian way, above on the left, Elena Perminova with Kenzo sweatershirt and Yaz Buckey necklace. On the right, Mira Duma chooses flowers. Junya Wanatabe shirt and a green plexi oversized chain. I don’t where the necklace is from_shame on me, but I do know I need a friend to match colors not on purpose.

Flowers + Givenchy crop sweater + Mawi necklace (my number choice of jewelry)=Dazzling!!!
And now I present you with so many different necklaces to chose from. kiss kiss

Emmys 2012
September 25th, 2012 | Diana

I was wearing a Lanvin dress(red one here, and short version here), Gianvito Rossi shoes (the black here is so good), Tonya Hawkes clutch and Shylee Rose Jewelry ring and earrings.
It takes a lot to get me excited over an event. So when Dinair Airbrush Makeup invited me to attend the 64th Emmy Awards than I had plenty of reasons to jump up and down with excitement.
It was a hot afternoon in downtown Los Angeles. The last thing I had in my mind was getting under a long gown, add makeup, heels and hair. It was going to happen, but not without some serious pain. Once I made it (already melted and late) backstage where Dina Ousley, the founder of Dinair, was all smiles. Dina was the In&Out burger I needed that second after not eating all day. I can’t explain this woman authenticity and awesome personality, but the good thing I don’t need to. Dinair is a world renown airbrush makeup, not by chance. The woman behind it, Dina, is an Emmy award winner makeup artist herself. Now this cool! Dinair developed the first HD daily wear makeup. Thanks to Dianair; I can literally have my own airbrush kit and look like Isabeli Fontana from now own.
I documented my Emmys experience through Mynstagram, so if you still not following me @thefashionadroit, here are a few pictures.

Backstage with Dinair, while a team of pros was getting the ladies of The Red Hots band hair and makeup ready.
I was wearing Damir Doma dress, Alaia belt, Christian Louboutin shoes (peep toes version here), Tonya Hawkes clutch and Shylee Rose ring and earring.

Side note to my hair stylist _Did you know you can airbush hair in whatever color you would like? We need to try that.

Red Carpet mayhem!!!

Annie Monroe from The Like band wearing my favorite Lover dress. Take notes; a young woman like that should always dress her age AWESOME choice. We need more of those around please.

Lucy Liu’s Versace dress. The best dress at the Emmys in my not so humble opinion. DEVINE!

I hope you enjoyed, because I had a blast!!!
Packing for Paris Fashion Week
September 21st, 2012 | Diana
As I am so over New York Fashion Week. _ And thanks to MODA OPERANDI, already got my Marc Jacobs Mickey Cropped top and pleated skirt. Still want this shirt, coat, “dress” and jacket. Oh help me please?! I also got these dope Alexander Wang gladiator sandal boots, remember?! I can consider myself content, for now. _ I find myself watching as many runway shows life streams as I can. London Fashion Week had several highlights for me that won’t be forgotten. Milan Fashion Week started yesterday, just as I anticipated Prada rocked my world again. Is impressive how every season, every runway show, every garment; Prada always make me feel like I am teenager again, going on a first date with the boy I have liked for years.
Well, I conclude it is a must to talk in details about all that went down in London and what’s happening now in Milan. And I will, as soon as a get packing for Paris out of the way.
Different than packing for business/vacation trip; the matter here is over a week of outfits for the best fashion shows, the best parties, the best restaurants, and a the common possibility of weather changes by the hour. So a smart packing list for all seasons of the year, without over packing is challenging. But do take in consideration I will be shopping in Paris.
This is what I am bringing with me, plus my second skin.

1.Givenchy earring 2.Thakoon Addiction top/dress 3.Valentino bag 4.Givenchy boots 5.Givenchy earring 6.Shourouk necklace 7. 3.1 Phillip Lim top 8. Asos jeans 9.Karl leather dress 10.Dries Van Note sunglasses 11.Maison Martin Margiela coat 12.Alexander Wang shoes 13. J.W. Anderson X Topshop sweater 14.J.W. Anderson X Topshop shirt 15.Balenciaga Skirt
What I wore!
September 20th, 2012 | Diana

Just kidding! I am really mean, I know. But so you are aware, this was by far the best outfit I saw her wearing during New York Fashion Week. Yes I ran into whatever that is, several times. My husband and I saw her once while he was in New York; and of course he had to say something: “See? If you keep working in the fashion business you might end up looking just like that?”
I know, or I hope I do know; that my fashion future is a lot more considerable with me. But I couldn’t help thinking? Maybe I look like her what she looks like to me? No! Do I?

Ok, even if I do! Here what I was wearing Stella McCartney dress, Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, Fleet Ilya harness (waist belt here), Givenchy bag, Céline sunnies.
And another mixed signal, photographers taking photos of me!

more new york fashion week
September 19th, 2012 | Diana

One more outfit I were during NYFW Spring 13 shows. I was wearing Acne shirt, Viktor and Rolf skirt (here and here similar), Fleet Ilya harness(here and here similar);but you already new that. Giuseppe Zanotti lace up shoes, Céline sunnies, Erickson Beamon necklace (better one here and here) and Tonya Hawkes clutch.
Below a picture of dear street lens. Quite hard to not fell like Kim Kardashian when all those photographers; with their flashes on your face, asking while taking notes “What are you wearing?”. Followed by “One more!”, “Can you turn to the side?”. Well, unfortunately for me, fame only happens while coming in and out of shows venues. But it’s good know I can easily adapt to fame and all the “fashion paparazzi”.

On the last day of New York Fashion Week; I found myself without my hubby, best friend or a photographer to capture my outfit. I am horrible on self portraits, I wouldn’t put us through that. But of course I can always count on the street style photographers, which by the way has increased over 75%, but I am not counting. It would be rude to call them fashion paparazzis, if all they care for it is really good clothes regardless of the body under it. I can’t avoid feeling like a celebrity when a front of 30 plus flashes going off all at the same time it is strategically waiting outside runway shows venues exit doors, most common, the streets. I thank style.it for capturing this outfit here. I love the close up on my new clutch.

I was wearing Givenchy skirt (love this one here), Acne t-shirt, Fleet Ilya harness (similar here and better one here), Tonya Hawkes clutch, Chanel sunnies. Mawi bracelet (very similar here) , Jennifer Fisher cuff ring (bracelet version here), and Pamela Love spike ring on the right. Damir Doma bracelet on the left.
grand days
September 14th, 2012 | Diana
The best part of New York Fashion Week this time around for me was Soho Grand Hotel. Besides the drop dead gorgeous, young and happy staff. All night (and week) long loud parties. The incredible fast and delicious food from in-room dining. _ The hotel not only is on the heart of Soho, is absolutely beautiful, spacious, and it provide me with the best view of the city.
I still don’t get why my husband is so resistant to idea of moving into a hotel. I think I will totally be happy leaving at the Chateau Marmont, even at the Four Seasons. Listen, we only live once. Let’s grab this opportunity and make it happen. No, I am not delirious. He is the one that asked me to call for towels after two days we were already back.
Ok, I am getting away from the subject here. This is one of the outfits I was wearing during Fashion Week. The pictures were taken at the elevator of Soho Grand. I am going to miss that place!!!

Givenchy Roittweiler t-shirt, Marc Jacobs plastic skirt (not similar; but here, here, and here good ones too), Manolo Blahnik lace up shoes, Céline handbag (good choices here and here), Erickson Beamon necklace and Westward Leaning sunnies

uptown
September 11th, 2012 | Diana

I was wearing Boy by band of outsiders overall (here, dirt cheap and super cute) , Friend of Mine leather top, Erickson Beamon necklace, Céline shoes and bag, The Row X Linda Farrow sunnies, and a little fat on back [and front too] belly area. But you can’t buy that! Sorry!
Huns, just a quick work/shopping outfit post (shhhhhhh, don’t tell my hubby _ about the shopping of course.)!!! See how happy I get? Second photo can’t lie! You know is not NYC unless there is shopping. So I went after _ a very talked about store, FIVESTORY! The store opened back in April, I only got the chance to experience now. BU-MMER!!! I keep thinking of all the great things I might have missed. No, I am serious! …. Claire, the owner of Fivestory, makes sure to bring very few of the most amazing pieces. HALELUIA!!! She got it! She knows about women uniqueness, and praises that. I praise that too, Claire! So , if you are in town, and really want to treat yourself with MAWI jewerly (my favorite, you know that!), Versus, Olympia Le-Tan, Anthony Vacarello, Hakaan, Rue du Mail and lots more. Fivestory is your effing place. I am sure all brazilian grils will like it too. It has a back in the days Daslu feel, FYI. Here is a pic via my instagram
and here are several via Claire’s instagram. Now run, go, plan to go … you are waisting your time. I am going to get there first , and take it all! Oooops! I forgot! The kids clothes are so good too. More photos now ok?!

This last image made me jump, scream ,clap! It’s a baby leather skirt! Size 2. SOOOOOOO CUTE!
New York Fashion Week Spring 2013 … my notes…
September 10th, 2012 | Diana
Here is a quick review of the last 5 days of shows. NOTE, this is only what stud out for me so far. So let’s start by the end; Alexander Wang’s glow in the dark finale that is! Thanks to BRYAN BOY for always having his camera on capturing all great moments. WATCH THIS! Wang himself described, Tron-like.

Has Wang inspired you to wear his deconstructed beauties? Well, he had me on my feet, and them on my knees!!! In my element, the disconnected puzzle like clothes presented, got all a modern gal wants. Did I mention super sexy? I didn’t?
Wowww, super sexy! The fish line thread gives the feeling of the clothes flowing on the body. Can’t wear underwear wish some of this looks.
Wang’s leather pieces are stunning. The texture and prints adds a lot sophistication. And the shoes??? AMAZING!!! I wanted it all, all of it.
Now, 2nd note. The Gladiators shoes, in several different variations, are back!
Altuzzara gladiator heels. I am guessing Gianvito Rossi is behind this beauty too.

This one is Alexander Wang. Can we call it a gladiator pumps?

And this one is Skaist-Taylor. The Juicy Couture Duo’s new line.
…and last, a surprise that rocked my world. Jason Wu got the note; the harness note, remember?! Plus, he threw some leather and lace together. Equals, immaculate.

Hermès Festival Des Métiers 2012
September 9th, 2012 | Diana
Hey ladies, let’s start by getting the pronunciation correct _ it’s not “her mess”. Please drop the “S” on the end and talk like you truly deserve to own a Birkin (in my case a Kelly)!
I was fortunate enough to attend Hermés Festival of Crafts along side my husband. On Hermés 175th year anniversary, the luxury house celebrates by bringing to NYC their extraordinary craftsmanship. In a room of a Park Avenue building covered by printed carpet of the tolls used to handmake all their amazingness. It was showcased how handbags, ties, shirts, drinking glasses, watches, jewelry, horse saddles, drawings, and silk scarves are made from beginning to the end. Behind each station a French craftsman/woman wearing a leather apron with their name on it, answered all my questions. Except one, how many handbags of each model was produced in a year. “Confidential.” _ said Pierre, a French handbag craftsman working for the luxury house for over 25 years, while hand stitching a red 32cm Kelly bag. Pierre, wearing a devine leather apron with his name embossed on it, told me it takes 18 hours (2 and half days of working) to complete a handbag. The handle, the most time consuming and complicate part of the bag, its composed by 5 different materials, 4 hours to be completed and 1 single linen thread to sow hand stitch it. Once its done, a stamp behind the right side buckle is printed by the craftsman so it can be trackable. Each worker has it’s own number and each worker works in the same bag till completion. Pretty special right?! Thanks to my fashion sake, my husband was there. He was so impressed, inspired and mesmerized, for a second I really though he was going to run to the store and finally get me a bag. Ha, didn’t happen! But now he knows why the luxury goods are pricy but unique, a piece of art!

Pierre demonstrating the technique, invented by Hermés, of threading a needle. Its awesome!!! That one single thread will be used to hand stitch, also in a unique way, each side of the bag. If the thread happens to brake, it must be unstitched and the process starts all over again.

Look at the carpet, so beautiful!!!

The Collier de Chien bracelet, it takes 4 weeks to be handmade, it contains 999 pavé diamonds and will be sold for over $400,000 as soon as it is finished. Uhaaaaaauuuuu!!!
O
Once again, one single thread will be used to hand stitch the whole silk tie.

Me – “What is this paint you are using?”, while she uses her delicate pencil to paint around the glass edges.
Hermés SUPER CHIC French Craftswoman -” It is not paint, it’s gold!”

Hey, I am just saying. I have been in front of a lot sewers faces. They do not look like this. #SPECIAL
FYI she is doing the shirts button hole by hand. This is real clothes!!! Now you know why I pay so much hubby?!

Is he on chock? Wanting to kill one? Or amazed? Please look at the carpet again???

This guy have the hardest job! But he makes it look it so easy and interesting. _ I want a saddle! No need for the horse! Just get me the saddle.

The drawings! OMFG, the drawings! Have you ever seen something with so much details??? AMAZING!

Those are the magical scarves paint colors. 75, 000 different colors were produced in Hermés Lyon’s facility. All of them created by them.

The scarf demonstrated takes 14 different color/screens. They all start from darkest to lightest color. It takes about 2 years for a scarf process to be completed. OMG, it’s way longer than pregnancy!!! You can have two babies in that window time!!!

voilà!!!
