So here I am almost half way into June. Four “Black Tie” events passed, and another three has yet to come. I must say, at this time I will be miss defining the Black Tie dress code to cope with the society around me. That includes my husband constrain to wear a bow tie for the sake of his wife’s joy of a real Black Tie night.
Should Black Tie be redefined? Absolutely not. Should I embrace the fact my Lanvin gown is inconceivable next to the obsequious jersey knee length dress the girl next to me was wearing? No ifs ands or buts. Have I revised my fashion dogma to go according the current baloney? YES!!!
After three faults, I found what worked for me and as anticipated Margiela played a huge role.

And I found a dream that I could speak to.

Fashion has become a world that everyone [and I mean literally everyone] has something to say, want to be part of it or own a part of it. Social Media has helped one achieve world knowledge of a product instantly. Away goes the word “exclusive”; “commercialized” is the new thing.
To substantiate the present, and future. Last year on a 4 hour beautifying day at Andy Lecompte Salon I watched every woman walk in _ as I concluded later, in her uniform. The uniform of the season?! A distressed white tee, skinny cropped jeans, Isabel Marant Dicker suede boots, a Celiné Nano Luggage and ombré hair.
Will I never lose my solo identity or mind. As I am having a Fashion Tale moment, one more (very hard dress to find) Balenciaga by Nicolas Ghesquière to keep my dreams alive and unique.

On a very cold Wednesday afternoon during Paris Fashion Week, a necessary visit to Chloé Saint-Honoré store was taken place, with well know shopping and fashion enthusiasts Evangelie, Charlotte and I fly high together as the dynamic trio _. Evangelie, a Chloé worshipper, modeled the whole store while Charlotte and I who sat on the couch and critique. It was unanimous, the navy pant suit was the crème de la crème of the Spring 2013 collection. But with a total price tag of U$5400, the suit was a dream within a dream.

Last week I went shopping at the Wynn hotel stores; I could not avoid entering Chloé. There was the pant suit and this time around, 50% off! From the fitting room, I educated the sales girl with all reasons and occasions each piece was necessary to ones closet. Leaving her with much to think about with my last comment ” And then, when you have worn it all those ways, you can wear it as pajamas to an Abu Dhabi trip.”

It’s hot, it’s cold; it’s all over the place. I am not complaining! I am with you LA weather. I feel you. It’s challenging. I am everywhere too. Surprisingly to me trying to set new standards for my everyday casual look. I recently agreed to become a stylist for very few hand picked by me actresses, and running around once again becomes me. The skinny jeans, button up shirt and flats are far from getting retired, but I need new looks in life. I found a purpose for my personal ramble; played out Zara shorts, a basic tee, a flair with lots of pockets for the bomber vest and comfy heels. Content!

In a side note, look at this snake bomber vest by Josh Goot. And another one in purple and gold and a black velvet one PLEASE?! Help me!!!

So here I am, once again, in that time of the year _  The between seasons time of the year! Phone calls and text messages are already informing me of private sales. The once under the radar divine Gianvito Rossi’s shoes are getting spotted on the wrong feet. A certain family has brought my beloved Ricardo Tisci’s designs to the “worst dressed” list and tacky tongues. Excluding the fact I am still on the hopes to find the Balenciaga Cummerbunds Trousers and the Dries Van Noten denim embellished skirt; my personal universe is screaming:” Pre-Fall already please?! ” But in reality, I will have to wait till mid June for Pre Fall. In the interval, I satisfy my needs with basics that are so basics that are basically all I need.

As I have mentioned before, I am not so into prints. But plaid in the other hand; I find it essential, smart, chic and very sophisticated. Well, that all depends of how it’s worn, doesn’t it? A man in a kilt is quite attractive but not so much a punk rock’s flannel plaid that looks like it never has been washed.
That brings me to what concerns the most, people with extreme personalities. For the last couple seasons, I have noticed an increase on the punk inspired trend. I love the punk era. All the leather, the plaid, the chains, the jewelry, heavy boots; and all the BLACK. Different than what Chanel and Saint Laurent are taking us this upcoming Fall_ a glamorous, luxurious and sophisticated punk attire. I see the so immature trend already dying on the hands certain people that just can balance what fashion has to offer. To the hopes the Punk trend doesn’t end up like Nail Art or Ombre Hair, in the wrong state of mind.
Meanwhile, I find myself content on the silk sheer plaid fabric of Dries Van Noten. Even more content once I accidentally happened to have my assistant wearing a flannel plaid shirt that just goes perfect with my skirt. The mixture of plaids suggested by Dries Spring 2013 had me hesitate first, but now I have noticed those two can tango, I am all for it. As my goal is never to repel anyone, I leave up to the fact you can see my ass when stand on the light.
