what I do best …

For the ones that don’t know. Before I started blogging I used to design for my own women’s contemporary line. It was called Dar-Ti, and it was founded in October 2009. Two months later I find out I was pregnant; it was a happy surprise. Luckily I never had a bad pregnancy day. Oops wait, expect when I fired everyone at once; Maid, Gardner, Decorator, assistant. _ Besides that, the outrageous presence of energy allowed me to work till the second the anesthesiology refused to let me take my phone to the operating room with me.
Dar-Ti’s first showing was Autumn/Winter 2010, in February 2010. I booked exceeding numbers with two major e-commerce companies and several boutiques. I did good, really good. My hard work had paid off, and I was thrilled. But as soon as I saw Maddi’s face, she overtook my heart, mind and soul. Dar-Ti was put aside just after its first season. I was sad, but content with the choice of truly living motherhood at its full. But once I got tired of poop, throw up, food stains, music class, gym class, mommy and me class, diapers.com, strollers; … I let the nanny finally assume her position, and found myself again. Back than, still to controlling to go back to work at Dar-Ti (I used to work at least 18 hours a day), I started the blog. It’s been a great year; I thank you for that. But I can say, I am finally ready to go back and do what I know best! That does not mean I am freeing you up of my bad English skills, this blog is a big part of me, and will permanence until I say so.

On the last day of New York Fashion Week; I found myself without my hubby, best friend or a photographer to capture my outfit. I am horrible on self portraits, I wouldn’t put us through that. But of course I can always count on the street style photographers, which by the way has increased over 75%, but I am not counting. It would be rude to call them fashion paparazzis, if all they care for it is really good clothes regardless of the body under it. I can’t avoid feeling like a celebrity when a front of 30 plus flashes going off all at the same time it is strategically waiting outside runway shows venues exit doors, most common, the streets. I thank style.it for capturing this outfit here. I love the close up on my new clutch.

It’s super hot here in NYC. Running uptown to downtown is challenging, but as soon as I find myself among all fabulous things and people; I forget all about the sweat between my boobies. Detail, I am staying at Soho Grand Hotel, my room’s AC unit is broken, HEAT HEAT HEAT.
For the day I were a super light chiffon tunic from Anja Schwerbrock (worn here before), a Mark Fast tube dress (also worn here), Chanel bag (here, here and here before) and shoes (here). The sunnies are Céline (here too).
For the hot night of party hopping I went with Chalayan shirt, Sharon Wauchob skirt (worn here before), Giuseppe Zanotti shoes (worn here before) and Damir Doma bracelet. Wait, to add a touch of me, a Fleet Ilya harness (worn here before), you know I am obsessed, in love and will be wearing as much as I can. Looks like Jason Wu got the note, harness please?!

Every woman should repeat their clothes, it’s so CHIC! Listen, when a piece works, you work it until you can’t work it anymore. I am a big believer in getting as much use as possible of every item in my closet. When shopping for something, I consider all aspects; how many times I am going to wear it, price, how many seasons will last me, etc… I always get things I immediately fall in love with. And always tend to shop compulsively when my Prozac has a hard time adjusting to my time of the month, always happens to be the worst purchases. Really how many prom dresses do I need?

Most bloggers celebrate their great achievement of 100K, or 200K followers. Well, I am not most bloggers! I like to celebrate the little achievements, 3500 followers. So I have been saving this speech since I was 8. You know, for my first Oscar that is! _But, I couldn’t find a more appropriate time for my special speech than now. All the alcohol have erased my memory over the years, but it goes something like this:

I’m Cute, White?

Like, is there anything better than white clothes during “summer” time?! Ummm, no! On another note, I was talking to a friend, who for the first time ever walked into my closet, and she was like, “what?, what? what? , I thought I was going to walk into a 18 rooms long closet by the way I see you dress.” Honestly, I was really glad, but then sad. Sad to have disappointed her but really glad she finally got to know what clothes means to me. I have never invested in a single item I didn’t think was going to last more than two seasons. I want good quality clothes that will last me a long time. I just wore my summer 1999 Tom Ford for Gucci feather jeans the other day and the reaction of peeps was like “what???” I do know why; my point _ I only buy pieces that will last me forever, it’s an investment. Don’t get me wrong, trends are amazing! But you need to know what trends are forever. Thank you Tom Ford, Galliano and Marc Jacobs for giving me those trends. uhhh uhh trends that will last forever, invest in those. And just like my Celine shoes _Which we all know Celine is a really trendy brand now. Thank you Pheobe Philo for that! She is amazing, she knows how to make amazing pieces that are trendy, classic and will last forever. I’ve loved her ever since Stella McCartney! Remember the horse head jeans?! I will be able to hold on to and wear my clothes forever and ever again. And to my bitch friend, listen, real estate square footage in West LA ain’t cheap, hon. What do you mean 18 rooms? Since when am I Petra Eccostone?!

Lately, things are happening so fast! My life just seems to been working itself out in collaboration with all the stars and the moon. And I do thank GOD for that!!! I have been so drunk for the last week _ Who am I kidding?!, for the last year! Even though my brain cells are not destroyed, they certainly are very confused. And myself? _ Well, I am considering detox or juicing. OMFG, I never thought I would include those two bad words on my vocabulary. Wait, but not until next week _Tuesday!
To cope with my tumulted present state, I get dressed for wherever next cocktail gathering might be. I go out in flats [Chanel] and I take a pair of hells along with me [Celine]. The dress [Rick Owens] needs to be simple but sexy and easy to fit into any environment. I also take a small clutch [Olympia Le Tan] inside my bag [Celine]. I use the small clutch as make up bag. For a smarter look I leave all those bracelets [Hermés] and cuff [Tiffany & Co.] behind. I do add a giant ring [Eddie Borgo] _love that one giant ring look. Oooops, sunnies [Oliver Goldsmith], I forgot!
